It said the evacuation was part of an effort to evacuate political tensions and prevent violence from Nasir.
Nasir has seen violence in recent days as government forces fight an armed group known as the White Army, some believe they are allied with South Sudan’s Vice President Riek Machar.
Nasir’s battle threatens a 2018 peace deal signed between Machar and his rival Salva Kiir to end a five-year civil war where 400,000 people were killed.
Earlier this week, government forces surrounded Machar’s home in the capital Juba, and several of his allies were arrested after White troops covered military bases in the north of the country. Deputy Army Chief General Gabriel Duop Lam was among those detained earlier this week.
The Non-Person statement urges “all actors avoid further violence and the country’s leaders are eager to work together to resolve tensions.”
