The joggers are big, but Thule does a good job also Big – or at least not as big as the game. The Thule Urban Glide 3, like its predecessor, The Urban Glide 2, has enough form to be divided by sidewalks, which means discouraging my local skateboarders and folding a little bit more than other joggers, so it’s easier to cross my entrance at my entrance. It’s a smooth ride with one hand easy to fold, and despite weighing 26 pounds it’s too heavy to carry the other arm safely.
There are some changes on the new Thule Urban Glide 3 of the early models. One is the manual brake, which is now less rounded, but is designed for ergonomic fixation to make it easier to use. I personally prefer the earlier version, but the new version is more direct on where to place and stick out from and work equally to help control your downhill speed. There is also a new, extended canopy that better covers your little ones and comes in lots of fun colors similar to the Thule Shine. Finally, there is a new built-in footstool for kids to put their feet down instead of hanging them. In this jogger, I didn’t really notice that the footstool was improving the comfort of my son, but that was when he was under 2 years old, which could have a greater impact on older children.
Thule also sells stroller accessories that let you use this jogger with your baby, whether it’s Thule’s Bassinet attachment or one of the various car seat adapters. There are also connectable cup holders ($25) and water bottle cages ($30) that you can purchase separately to add to Urban Glide 3.
★Alternative solution: The Bob Gear Wayfinder ($529) is very similar to the Thule, but the folds are a little bigger and a few pounds taller than the Urban Glide 3, so it’s perfect for taller people. I found the height a little uncomfortable, but I only had 5’4″. It was also a little cheaper than the Thule.
