After years of being diluted by modern oversensitivity, science fiction may be on the verge of a raunchy, sexy renaissance. Before we get to that, let’s take a look back at some of the wildest, sluttiest entries in the genre’s past and list down science fiction’s sexiest films ever.
I ranked each movie by how raunchy, sexy, and exciting they are. Most of them are rated R or higher, so be warned, this list of sci-fi movies is difficult.
14. earth girl is easy
earth girl is easy It’s a neon-haired, pastel collision of science fiction and ’80s lust. When three furry aliens crash-land in the San Fernando Valley, a lonely manicurist played by Geena Davis shaves them off, revealing Jeff Goldblum, Damon Wayans and Jim Carrey in heartthrob mode.
What follows is an interstellar makeover comedy, where sexual curiosity and mall culture merge into a bubblegum fever dream. It’s raunchy, ridiculous, and too funny to be subtle.
13. subcutaneous (2013)

She cruises the streets of Scotland, luring unsuspecting men into her van, eventually leading them into the otherworldly void. Oddly enough, she has to take off all her clothes in order to eat her victims, setting up a pattern of Scarlett Johansson wandering the streets before stripping off her clothes and walking seductively into the void.
subcutaneous Trying to be more noble than the premise suggests, and maybe it is, but there’s no denying that it’s the film’s erotic content that makes people buy the tickets.
12. fifth element (1997)
fifth element Luc Besson’s 1997 colorful space opera about chaos, fashion and cosmic desire.
Bruce Willis plays a jaded taxi driver who literally captures the perfect woman, while Milla Jovovich plays Leeloo, a genetically engineered savior who is initially naked, wrapped in a white strap and destined to be. Together they race to stop a planet-eating evil while flirting at the weirdest fashion show in the galaxy.
It’s slick, ridiculous, and full of sexual energy. This movie earns a spot on this list because it blends high-concept sci-fi with a fetish aesthetic, is part space epic, part erotic fantasy, and is 100% committed to futuristic horny glory.
11. Zardos (1974)
Zardos is a 1974 science fiction film directed by John Boorman and set in a post-apocalyptic future. In this world, brutal “annihilators” oppress the masses and worship a giant flying stone named Zardos. The ringleader spray-gunned and ordered them to kill people to reduce the population. Sean Connery The protagonist Zed is an exterminator who discovers the truth behind Zardos and escapes to the parallel and decadent Eternal society.
It’s the 1970s, so the Eternals don’t wear much, and things get wilder and sex-obsessed after Zedd’s testosterone-filled arrival disrupts their static society. It brings revelation, mayhem, and ultimately many of the hedonistic weirdnesses of the 1970s.
10. weird science (1985)
plot weird science Two nerds who can’t find girlfriends decide to do the next best thing: use their computers to make their own female Frankenstein floppy disks. The more they fall in love with their digital hotties, the less likely these geeky teens are to connect with the real world.
weird science is the kind of raunchy teen comedy no one makes anymore. Critics will likely decry our two protagonists as the ultimate online non-celibates, and everyone will make fun of their efforts to bring a glorified chatbot to life. But the film sticks to its sexy premise and goes all the way. Kelly LeBrock is one of the hottest movie beauties to grace the screen standing in her doorway in her lingerie.
9. planet terror (2007)
planet terror It’s Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 love letter to grindstone, soaked in blood, gunfire, and sweat. When a bioweapon turns a small Texas town into a mutant pustule, one-legged stripper Cherie Darling (Rose McGowan) dons a machine gun prosthetic and becomes the hottest killing machine alive.
It’s a wild mashup of body horror and sexual spectacle, gory, tongue-in-cheek, and proud of its nastiness. It combines pin-up-style glamor, obsessive violence and campy bravado that is both hilarious and strangely empowering as only Rodriguez can.
8. The man who fell to earth (1976)
The man who fell to earth The story centers on an alien named Thomas Jerome Newton, played by the always horny David Bowie, who arrives on Earth from a distant, drought-stricken planet.
Disguising himself as a human, Newton exploited advanced alien technology and amassed a vast fortune by patenting his inventions. He is then supposed to use his wealth to build a spaceship to transport water back to his home planet to save his family.
Instead, he becomes obsessed with the playboy life and gets lost in a 1970s-style world of endless orgies and debauchery.
7. Species (1995)
In 1995 SpeciesSETI Laboratory scientists splice human DNA with alien codes from cosmic messages. The result? A rapidly growing mixed-race girl who seems innocent but actually possesses superhuman strength, intelligence and killer instinct.
Sil, played by 19-year-old model Natasha Henstridge, suddenly snaps, transforms into her adult form, and comes to Los Angeles looking to mate and breed an unstoppable species. Her drive becomes primal, seductive, and deadly. She seduces men and if they don’t measure up, she murders them.
The sexiest babe on the planet is a seductive predator who doesn’t like to wear clothes. This is the hook. Obviously, this would be great.
6. Barbarella (1968)
Barbarella Jane Fonda plays a solo space pilot traveling in the distant future. She is sent to hunt down a galactic villain planning a return to violence and war. Early on in her journey, she discovers that this kind of sex that humans don’t do anymore is actually pretty good.
BarbarellaIts reputation as a steamy space babe movie is well earned. There’s more to it than that, but stripping Jane Fonda naked and selling her as a super-sexy persona was a core part of the film’s mission. Luckily, since it stars a young Jane Fonda, that’s easy to do.
interesting thing Barbarella The biggest problem is that while it does contain a fair amount of skin, it’s made in such a naive and innocent way that sometimes you barely notice. It’s more about the film’s overall taboo vibe.
5. frankenhoek (1990)
frankenhoek (1990) is the dirtiest, smartest Frankenstein riff you’ll ever see. When Jeffrey’s fiancée is killed in a freak lawnmower accident, the grieving nerd does what any self-respecting mad scientist would do: rebuild her from the body parts of an exploding prostitute.
The result is a sex bomb in a purple wig who screams “Wanna go on a date?” while short-circuiting John in the street. A crude, grotesque, strangely honest work, it’s a neon grindhouse satire about sex and science that weaponizes nudity and erotic absurdity as commentary.
4. substance (2024)
exist substanceA frequently naked Demi Moore plays an aging actress who injects herself with “the substance,” a biotech miracle that makes her younger and sexier. This younger version is played by the more often naked Margaret Qualley, who embodies weaponized body perfection as she shakes her hips.
Youth comes at a price: one body must rest while the other lives, and jealousy turns the experiment into a slow-motion body horror meltdown. It’s explicit, brutal, and filled with an excess of skin and erotic menace.
3. robot (1991)
1991 Chinese science fiction film robot is the ultimate fusion of nerd obsession with robots and sometimes creepy nerdy sexuality. This is the story of a sexy female police officer who transforms into a robot. She teams up with another female robot to hunt down a rogue, greedy male robot.
The movie opens with a bathhouse scene where the prince bathes with a group of naked Chinese women. It quickly jumps into a world of goofy Asian martial arts and all the excuses to keep proportionate women on screen with nothing but darkness.
Along the way, the cops kind of lose their minds and open a very successful brothel using one of the hottie robots, and robot It feels more like an all-out, ultra-low-budget Skinemax dud than a true sci-fi movie.
2. heavy metal (1981)
1981s heavy metal That’s what happens when a stoner’s sketchbook and a science fiction anthology collide at breakneck speed. A glowing green evil orb called the Loc-Nar ties together a series of wildly animated stories filled with space warriors, naked goddesses, and guitar-heavy apocalypses.
This is a work of fantasy presented with stunning artistry. think Frazetta meet Star Wars Have more boobs. Each sequence oozes with erotic energy, with spaceships and sex sharing equal screen time. It treats science fiction as spectacle and seduction, blending nudity, violence and cosmic weirdness into a gloriously raunchy cartoon fever dream.
1. vitality (1985)
1985 movie vitality The film begins with a naked girl in a box and ends with a sex scene explosive enough to destroy a cathedral and send a group of alien vampires running for their lives. between those bookends, vitality This is one of the craziest, most unique, and most mind-boggling sci-fi movies that almost no one has ever seen.
A mission to explore Halley’s Comet leads to an alien vampire who looks just like one of the most beautiful women in the world, wandering naked around our planet, seducing men and sucking the life out of them. At one point, she briefly transformed into Star Trek star Patrick Stewart, and even though she was now a bald savant, she was so sexy that people still wanted to make out with her, at their own risk.

Not only is this one of the sexiest sci-fi movies ever made; It’s also one of the best science fiction movies on this list. It belongs at the top.
