Scottie Scheffler’s first victory gate in 2025. In fact, he had already walked through half the front door. Scheffler will start his Sunday round at TPC Craig Ranch eight– His lead over the last three days is that he has built 61, 63 and 66 leads. In his approach game this week alone, Schefler scored more than 9 shots on the court. Adding a very solid drive and a hot tweet, the eight-bar leads start to make sense.
During a period of Saturday, it may feel interesting. Sam Stevens worked hard to get the deficit to five shots, when Scheffler was ranked 11th, but three birdies in Scheffler’s last five holes cemented the largest 54-hole Scheffler’s biggest 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour. The world’s No. 1 will start his final round with Erik Van Rooyen at 12:55 p.m. Sunday. If Scheffler can finish it, it will be his 14th PGA Tour and his 10th game in the last three years.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Dexan Jordan Spieth of Texas continued his own solidity (even if not winning), Spieth completed the first 20 games in his last three games and rode a Saturday 67-67 season, trailing Scheftler for the 23rd time in the lead, trailing Scheftler and a week out of 10 times. Spieth started his final round with Si Woo Kim at 11 a.m. Central Time.
