Springfield Thunderbirds and Lehigh Valley Phantoms won the berth on Sunday night in the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs, which was earned by Hartford’s 2-1 loss at Hershey.
This is the third playoffs in team history for the Thunderbirds, who reached the Calder Cup final in 2022. The Phantom will make the playoffs for the third consecutive year, the fifth time since moving to Lehigh Valley in 2014.
Springfield and Lehigh Valley join Hershey, Charlotte, Providence and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, forming six teams to qualify for the Calder Cup playoffs in the Atlantic division; the first two clubs will make the semifinals, while the third-to-6th-place finishes will meet in the first round series of two-thirds.
