Lesson 1: Daily Calendar Activities
What are all: There is a new activity every day that will make your students excited to read the whole month. Topics include letter art (Gr. K-2), book cover design (Gr. 3-5), and genre speed date (Gr. 6-8). They also had trouble reading videos and templates with links. Too easy!
Why do kids like it: Your students will look forward to seeing what interesting reading activities will be next. In addition, there is an inner time to celebrate and read the stuffed animals of young students, as well as reading and relaxation periods for older children.
Don’t miss: Letter treasure hunt game. We recommend you print it out and send it home so that the kids can hunt with their families.
Lesson 2: Story Mission
What are all: The pursuit of a story is a great way to inspire your students to spin stories, embark on a journey of imagination and appreciate a story. Each grade band has picture prompts and story starts. Your students can choose anyone who sows the seeds of stories in their minds. They will write quickly without stopping and then have the opportunity to reflect and share.
Why do kids like it: These images are all AI-generated, they are all kinds of (wonderful and realistic) and fun (think: mysterious rings on the blade bed!).
Don’t miss: Built-in reflection issues.
Lesson 3: Read around the world
What are all: Start a global adventure with books! You will use a curated book list to “visit” all seven continents. Students will choose a book to read or listen and then write to friends to tell them all about it.
Why do kids like it: All book covers have printable versions that students can glue to the world map.
Don’t miss: Links to all books are read aloud online.

Lesson 4: STEM Reading
What are all: This activity combines literary works with engineering challenges. Each grade band links to a proper book. When you click on each person, you get a lesson plan with links to Read-Aroud and guide questions for use throughout the book. You will also get instructions on the STEM challenge, which is directly linked to the ideas and content shared in the story.
Why do kids like it: The book’s choice is really fascinating, showing students how literacy and engineering can live a happy life from now on.
Don’t miss: Save the potato challenge. Students will learn how people around the world save food.
