It is reported that the iPad software will be redesigned more like MAC with iPadOS 19

Apple is said to be making some major improvements for iPados that could make it more consistent with MacOS. According to Mark Gurman Newsletter, Apple’s iPadOS 19 will “focus on productivity, multitasking, and application window management – note that devices are more like Mac operations.” For iPads, this isn’t MacOS, but Gurman notes that “changes may happen far enough” to please those who want to get more from the software on their tablets.
