Two years after the war, the international conference of the London Sudan was aided, but peace was elusive

The Sudan conflict killed thousands, displaced, and threw much of the country into famine. The main purpose of the meeting is not to negotiate peace, but to pay attention to what the United Nations calls the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
