It’s time for labor to recognize a Palestinian state–has been stagnant for 50 years

Your report shows that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is that it will recognize Palestine in a “maximum impact moment” with two Labor Foreign Ministers Roy Hattersley and David Ennals (labor MPs push the Ministry to recognize Palestinian nationality, April 13).

Although both ministers agreed in principle my proposal to join Israel in the Palestinian state in Fabian pamphlet, they insisted that the time was not the right time. 50 years later, it is amazing that some of today’s ministerial peers are still shaped by some of their ministerial peers.

Now is a critical moment, as the world needs to make it absolutely clear that it will not tolerate a future that does not include having a self-determination in its own state, which may be in the form of an alliance with Israel, preferably Jordan as well.

Every Israeli voter needs to understand and deal with this next time he or she participates in a poll, because their own future depends on it.

But the understanding is not enough. To get the greatest impact, support is needed through international affirmation, that is, the only acceptable alternative to the Palestinian state is now equal rights until there is a solution.
