Brazil orders 7 days of mourning to commemorate Pope Francis

Brazil, home to the world’s largest Catholic community in the world, will hold seven days of mourning to commemorate the death of Pope Francis, President Luiz Inácio Lulada Silva said on Monday.

Lula wrote on X: “Humanity is losing voices of respect and philanthropy today. Pope Francis’ life and dissemination in daily life is the basis of Christian doctrine, which is the basis of Christian doctrine.”

Believers joined the service throughout Brazil to pray for the late Pope, who died early Monday at the age of 88.

Brazilians are a country with 182 million countries, the largest number of Catholics in the world, according to a Vatican news report in March.

According to these figures, around 1.4 billion people are part of the Catholic Church worldwide.
