Nintendo warns that its booking invitations may arrive after Switch 2 release
If you want to avoid the mess that comes with the Switch 2 launch by booking directly from Nintendo, this may not make it arrive faster. Nintendo said in an update on the website that it has “high demand” for consoles, so “your invitation email may arrive after the release of Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5.” This could delay the shipment until after that date, the company said.
Nintendo opened up “Register Your Interest” to buy Japan’s ability to buy the Switch 2 earlier and applied for 2.2 million people who applied for a pre-order console. Now, it has made the same offer to North American users and initially promised to send the first booking invitations on May 8. At least for some people, it may now slip for nearly a month or more.
Nintendo recommends visiting its launch partner, but as we have seen so far, the process is also challenging. So far, Amazon doesn’t even have an order page for the Switch 2, and customers are having trouble ordering at other retailers like Walmart, Target and Best Buy. At this point, it’s unlikely you’ll find one today, but don’t give up on hope.
Whether you want to apply for Nintendo on your booking is not easy to avoid the process of de-lipping, please be aware of Nintendo. You must purchase your own Nintendo Switch online membership, have a Nintendo Switch online membership of at least 12 months, choose to share game data, and have at least 50 game time.
Nintendo delayed its initial release date from April 9 to April 24 due to concerns about Trump’s tariffs. Nintendo underestimated whether Switch 2 demand on other territories like the United States underestimated the Switch 2 demand as Japan did, but given the current madness, it seems likely.
