Prince Harry says “keep your kids away from social media” to protect them from harm

The Duke of Sussex said the “not enough” about hurting social media could lead to children, as he appeared at the unveiling of the memorial in New York City, saying he said he died because of the commemoration. Harry attended the event with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

“The easiest thing to do is to keep your kids away from social media” to protect them, Harry said.

The BBC reported that the memorial will be open for 24 hours and consist of 50 smartphones, each showing an image of a child, and organizers say they have been killed due to social media.

Prince Harry and Meghan It has been supporting families who say social media plays a role in the death of their children and supporting tech companies to share information about these kids’ phone calls with parents.

“It’s a common fact that our kids are hurt by what’s going on online,” Megan said. “I think for those who choose to be online and are adults on social media, we can set an example and really bring as much beauty and joy to the world as possible.”

Many families from the UK travel to New York to demand better protection for children from tech companies. Some of them participated in another protest outside Meta’s office.

Among these families, Ellen Room, the mother of 14-year-old Jools, died in 2022. Roome believes this happened after an online challenge went wrong and his social media account can retain evidence. The investigation found that Joels died of suicide.

Meta said special accounts have been recently provided for enhanced protection for teenagers. “We believe that teenagers should have consistent protection in all the different applications they use, not just our platform,” Mehta said in a statement to the BBC.

“We are grateful that our kids are too young to enter social media on social media,” Harry said Thursday, with the kids of Harry and Meghan, Aki and Lilibetis 5 and 3.

“One of the reasons we do this is because we are together with all of these parents and want to make sure things have changed, right? So, there are no more parents, no more children lost on social media. It’s unacceptable. It’s unacceptable. It’s wrong. It’s no longer a secret. However, these companies are given this power to enable parents to hide their lives from their parents,” Harry said. ”
