A man is celebrated as a hero after saving a woman from being attacked by a bull shark.
In new interview 60 minutes Australia Blake Donaldson was released on Saturday, April 26, about the moment he jumped into the water to rescue Mangyon “Mani” Zhang.
Zhang, 57, swam 10 meters from the coast on Gunyah Beach, Bundeena, Australia on March 7 when her right leg was viciously attacked by a bull shark.
Zhang revealed that the 38cm shark’s chin was bitten in her right leg, and did not feel the creature’s grip at the time, adding that she thought she was stabbed.
She went on to say that she had a “very creepy feeling” that something had surpassed her.
“I’m scared. I said, ‘Oh, what is that?'” Zhang told 60 minutes. “And I just saw…a lot of blood would come out and the water would get too red, red and red. I was scared at that time.”

Zhang realizes she was bitten by a shark because she doesn’t want the shark to come back, but a minute later, she screams for help, prompting Donaldson to escape from the operation.
The hero and his partner, Ellen Melchert, were the only other people on the beach at that time.
Hearing the scream, Donaldson jumped directly into the water, heading towards the blood, telling him 60 minutes, He did not question his behavior.
“I just [had] He said. “He said. The battle or flight started and I just made the decision to make sure there might be sharks, but my reaction was, ‘I just need to save this woman.”’

After Donaldson entered shore, Melchert exerted first aid.
The shark victim struggled to stay conscious, thinking about how she wanted to see Maria again at least once again.
“Suddenly, I saw all these colors and I couldn’t see anything else. I think I heard people say, ‘She doesn’t have any pulses.'”
Intensive caregiver Marco Aielli was called to the scene and said Zhang had lost “disastrous blood” and added that her blood pressure was falling.
Zhang told 60 minutes She was surprised that she was still alive after waking up from her first surgery.
Reunited with Donaldson and Melchert a month after the accident, Zhang (who also said he was still grateful for his legs) for saving her life.
He smiled and said, “No, you don’t have to thank me.
“We’re glad you’re okay,” Melchert added.
“My lifeguard and hero,” Zhang told Donaldson, who replied, “they said, ‘You’re a hero.’ I didn’t think about it, but it did hit you and make you realize that you really saved someone,” Donaldson said.
