Trial begins in 2016 Paris jewelry robbery, Kim Kardashian is tied up and robbed

The 2016 robbery began in Paris, in which armed robbers tied Kim Kardashian to her bedroom and stole millions of dollars in jewelry during Fashion Week.
Ten people – nine and one woman – were tried for the robbery and kidnapping of media personality and her courtesy of staying at her residence on the evening of October 2, 2016.
Two of them acknowledged their involvement, while others denied it.
In a reality TV show with family, Kardashian described being scared that she would be raped and killed when the criminal broke into the bedroom and pointed a gun at her.
Her lawyer said she will testify in person at a trial scheduled for May 23.
“Ms. Kardashian is retaining her testimony for the courts and juries and does not wish to elaborate further,” they said. “She has a great respect and admiration for the French judicial system and is highly respected by the French authorities. She hopes that the trial will be conducted in an orderly manner in accordance with French law and the parties who have heard the case.”
During his appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix show in 2020, Kardashian burst into tears: “This is the time I’m going to be raped.
Twelve people were initially expected to be in the defendant’s box. One person died and the other person was seriously ill and could not try. According to the investigation, 5 out of 10 defendants attended the robbery scene.
Media calls them “Grandpa robbers”
French media called them “Grandpa robbers” because the main defendant was older and was a bank robber with long-term criminal records.
Kardashian told investigators she was taken to the bathroom and placed in the bathtub. Her attacker fled on a bicycle or on foot, and she released herself by removing the tape.
She rushed to the designer’s room and called her sister Kourtney to tell her about the theft. Shortly thereafter, Kardashian told investigators that she was not injured. She filed a complaint, adding that she wanted to leave France as soon as possible to reunite with her children.

According to her testimony and the concierge, at least one suspect threatened the victim with a pistol.
Jewelry worth millions
The gangsters stole a lot of jewelry, including rings estimated to be worth more than $6 million. There is only one piece of jewel – a diamond cross on platinum lost during the suspect’s escape.
Two parts of the defendants pleaded guilty to the crime because their DNA was found at the scene.
The so-called boss, AOMAR AIT KHEDACHE, 68, is one of two suspected robbers allegedly entering the apartment. His genetic trait, nicknamed “Old Omar”, was found on tapes used to jam the Kardashian.
Like two other people, he rode his bike away and then met his son, who was waiting for him at a parking car at a nearby train station.
Another said he tied the concierge with a cable but did not go to the Kardashian apartment. Yunice Abbas, 71, said he acted as a surveillance in the ground floor reception area to ensure the escape route is clear. He said he was not armed and did not personally threaten Kardashian, but he admitted he was responsible for the crime.
Abbas was arrested in January 2017 and was released under judicial supervision for 21 months. In 2021, he co-authored a book called “French” I quarantine Kim Kardashian.

Didier Dubreucq, 69, is known as “Blue Eyes” and is the second robber on suspicion of entering the apartment. According to the investigation, he denied that he was filmed by CCTV cameras and had many telephone contacts with other co-defendants, indicating his involvement.
Other defendants allegedly provided information about the existence of Kardashian in the apartment. Others have been accused of playing a role in the resale of jewelry in Antwerp, Belgium.
