Rooted by subways, cancelled flights, shops, hospitals and offices are completely in the dark: this is the case after a widespread power outage that hit some parts of Spain, Portugal and southern France.
The grid was sent out around noon Monday, while blocking all public services in major Spanish cities. The power supply is currently underway, and officials are responsible for the rare atmospheric phenomenon.
Portuguese officials told state media that the power outage affected the entire territory. Reports of power outages also come from citizens of Andorra and France, which borders Spain.
