Harbor Lucy, Florida – Tyler Collet never reached the Major more easily, ending Wednesday with a 72-shot finish, winning the PGA Professional Championship with a record 10, leading 20 club professionals to the PGA Championship.
Collet started the final round with a 7-shot lead in the Wanamaker course at PGA Golf Club, which was never challenged. His goal is not to play the rounds on par, which he accomplishes by making an 18-foot bogey putt on the last hole.
“My mindset wasn’t moving backward throughout the week,” said an assistant professional at the John Island Club’s Assistant Professional Club at Vero Beach about 15 miles away.
He finished the game with a 15-shot 272 low and will play for the fourth time in the PGA Championship, which began on May 15 at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michael Block is a California club professional at Oak Hill’s 2023 PGA Championship and has a good story, winning the PGA Championship for the third consecutive year. Collet, John Somers and Larkin Gross have won a place for the second consecutive year.
As usual, the drama is the bottom of the rankings.
In the 20th and last place game of Quail Hollow, four even-numbered players died suddenly in the playoffs. Andrew Svoboda was bogeyed in the first hole, while Dakun Chang hit three times in the next hole.
It comes down to 60-year-old Brad Lardon and Michael Kartrude, who made Bogey in the 18th regulatory hole that it might have led to his achievements.
Lardon had a 7-foot birdie putt in the third extra hole and stopped for a lap.

Kartrude shot his tee far to the right and then went into the trees and knocked the driver down. But it hit a tree and hardly worked. He was still blocked by the trees, hitting the power faded around the trees and on the green, setting up the par.
Lardon advanced to 7 feet and missed the par putt, giving Kartrude a promotion.
“Of course, the best moments in my golf life,” Cartrude said. “I’m going to play professionally.”
It might have been impossible if it weren’t for the collapse of Jesse Mueller, who won the game three years ago. He is in the top 20 and looks to perform well under two shots in the game and hit 5 16 16, the easiest on the court.
He shot the tee into danger, enough golf balls to show that he decided to take off his socks and shoes and stand in the muddy stream. The lens is clear – maybe too clean – and then sails into the palm bushes.
