He continued that the idea “feels not right” and that Walker is Harrison Ford Captain America: A Brave New World Abandoned. This mindset led to a new character, Pearson suggested Sentinel, a character he learned during the Marvel Writer Program.
“I always remember loving the idea, what if Superman had his own version, that was bad?” Pearson said of the role Lewis Pullman eventually took over. It has a similar heel turn that reflects the inner conflict, and all anti-hero efforts are “heroic ambitions and self-loathing” – but without repeated characters.
