Samsung reveals Galaxy S25 edge details ahead of release

Samsung is open to its next major device release.

Yesterday, the company sent an invitation to the media members to attend the next Samsung-opened event, which will be Monday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET. The invitation has the tagline “Beyond Slim” and it’s obvious that we’ll see the super super Spim Galaxy S25 Edge phone the company used to tease.

In the press release, Samsung ended speculation (not much speculation considering the complete leak of this phone). Yes, we will see the new Galaxy S25 Edge on Monday.

According to Samsung, this is both a powerful AI companion and an engineering marvel, combining flagship-level performance with superior portability. ”

The company stopped sharing actual specs, but did say the phone would come with a 200-megapixel main camera. There is also a (surprise!) emphasis on AI, which will help users capture, edit and share this perfect photo and provide information about the world around you through the camera lens.

As for the slim design, Samsung said: “Each curve, profile and component reflects a breakthrough in precise engineering to create a quality experience worthy of the S Series name.”

I’ve actually seen the phone physically (although Samsung doesn’t allow touch) as the company brought it to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year. Yes…well, very thin, but don’t expect miracles, and the camera bumps are also heavy.
