I saw Ecovacs’ new self-washing robot vacuum cleaners that make cleaners clean

Robot mops are not really new concepts. They have been around for several years, including mop accessories and dispensers for cleaning solutions and water. But many are just glorious army. They apply dirty water around your floor, calling it “cleaning.” However, Ecovacs’ Deebot X9 Pro Omni and T80 Omni try to solve this problem with a self-washing mop, which theoretically doesn’t turn your floor into a Petri dish.
David Qian, CEO of Ecovacs Robotics, said in a press release: “With the Ozmo roller mop technology, we are addressing the hygiene gap in traditional mops, and David Qian, CEO of Ecovacs Robotics, said in the release.
Before launch, I looked at these robot mops early in a coffee shop in Brooklyn. Although they are not cheap, they start at $1,200 T80 Omni and X9 Pro Omni $1,600They have a lot of mop technology that can help you have a faster and more hygienic living space.
The X9 Pro Omni easily resolves the milk oil spill.
Self-washing robot
The title feature here is the Ecovacs Ozmmo roller mop, which debuted for the first time in this year’s X8 Pro Omni model. Drag the damp cloth with the older robot mop until disgusting, it is a separate clean and dirty water tank and scrub the mop pad clean in the middle of the Job. It also has 16 times more pressure than a typical robot mop, so it is closer to the actual manual shrub than the Swiffer.
The Ozmo mop roller on the robot vacuum cleaner may pop up to hit the corner.
This means your floors are washed with fresh water every time, rather than reusing old dirty water. I watched the X9 Pro Omni and T80 Omni where two robots cleaned the spilled milk from the concrete floor of the coffee shop.
What impressed me was that in most cases they were not messy or striped, although concrete floors might not be the type of surface you are in your home, so the real test will be done on tile, vinyl and other hard floors. I was also impressed by their ability to drive a rather crowded coffee shop. I’ve never seen them hit people’s feet or get stuck in trouble with furniture or carpets.
Omni docking stations are dry with hot air.
X9 Pro Omni: Flagship Robot Mop
The X9 Pro Omni is the new flagship of Ecovacs that will bring you back at $1,599. Here are some key features:
X9 Pro Omni returns to zero in a milk spill.
-
Explosive suction: Its 100-watt motor and redesigned airflow path make it more vacuum-energized. The motor has high torque, wider air intakes and more precise fan blades.
-
Super board battery: It comes with EcoVacs’ proprietary hyperboard battery, which the company says provides 50% more emission current, has 2.5 times longer battery life and reduces heat output.
-
Zerotangle 3.0 brush: This self-maintaining brush system has a main brush and inwardly curved side brushes designed to eliminate pet hair and other debris that cannot wrap it.
The excavator is good at ensuring that the mop pad is not used to the carpet by lifting it.
-
Truedge 2.0 3D Navigation: Corners are often the challenge of robot vacuum and mop, Truedge is designed to solve. It has edge sensing, extended mops and side brushes for cleaning corners and walls.
-
Mop lift: The X9 Pro detects the carpet and automatically lifts the mop to prevent the carpet from getting wet. This is a very common feature these days, but it’s nice to see it.
-
Hot air drying: Omni docking station exploded the mop with 145 degrees Fahrenheit air, drying it between use and preventing bacterial growth.
Is this necessary? Maybe not, unless you are wet at home often. (Personally, I usually just vacuum, and if they are wiped more than once a month, my floor is lucky.) But if you want the closest to the “set up and forget it” robot cleaner – a situation where vacuuming and mop is possible without guaranteeing yourself – the X9 Pro Omni may be a good option and we may need to do it in our Louisville Vacumess test.
AI enhances Truedge 2.0 3D navigation to help deal with obstacles and corners.
T80 Omni: Low price, still full of features
The T80 Omni strips off some of the X9’s features, but retains all the important features. This includes Ozmo roller automatic mop wash and AI thump (with spots and hits twice). According to Ecovacs, it has a drop pressure of 16 times that of a traditional mop, just like the X9 Omni. There is also the Zerotangle 3.0 brush, which minimizes tangles and picks up debris better.
So what is missing? Well, the dock uses slightly cold 113 degrees Fahrenheit air to dry the mop, and the suction isn’t as powerful, but it’s still more capable than some of the cheaper robot vacuums we recommend.
Ozmo rollers self-clean and rollers remain freely tangled, making them a great choice for families with kids and pets.
Price and availability
These are not cheap, even if they will be available on Amazon and Ecovacs websites by May 19. The X9 Pro Omni costs just as much as the Dreame X50 Ultra, one of the most expensive robot vacuums we recommend because of its ability to cross thresholds and obstacles.
this T50 Omni The full price is $1,200, but if you buy $1,080 between May 13 and May 19. The cost of the T80 Omni is combined with our best overall ecovacs ecovacs deebot t30s. However, you are paying for mop features and great navigation, so this makes it easier to understand.
