Game officials said Wednesday that Sahith Theegala has withdrawn from this week’s PGA Hollow Championship due to a neck injury.
The same disease caused Theegala to withdraw from the Truist title on Sunday. He started the signature event with 69 and 71 rounds, then hit 78 points with 78. After the birdie at the third round, Theegala combed out four bogeys, one bogey and three bogeys before exiting.
Theegala ranked 31st in the world, missing only one layoff on the PGA Tour this season, but has been struggling to compete, recording only the top 20 results in individual events (T-17, Genesis).
