The publisher of the popular online game Fortnite said Apple rejected it submitting the game to the iOS App Store.
Epic Games said in a post on X: “Apple has blocked our Fortnite submissions, so we can’t release iOS in the EU to the App Store or Epic Games store in the U.S. “Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple cancels Blblock.”
Blocking games on iOS is the latest wrinkle in the legitimate legend, comparing game publishers to the world’s largest tech companies, outpacing the app store’s fees. Recently, a judge ruled that Apple has been ignoring the 2021 ban, prohibiting it from accessing external links to subscriptions and in-app purchases in mobile apps. The decision led to a class action lawsuit and allowed publishers, including Epic and Spotify, to resubmit the app with the way users access subscriptions and purchases without paying through the App Store, Apple cuts Apple.
The game is expected to return to the iOS App Store this month, but apparently rejection means it is unlikely that this will happen anytime soon.

Apple representatives did not respond to requests for submission.
Apple responded, a little bit
Bloomberg News reported that Apple denied removing Fortnite from the “alternative distribution market” in a charge that Epic Games did not make. Apple said it asked Epic’s European division to resubmit the game without including the U.S. storefront to make the game available in other regions, Bloomberg reported. Apple obviously did not comment on the game submission status of the US App Store.
Due to EU regulatory differences and legal rulings, EPIC was able to release its Epic Game store in the region, through which gamers can download Fortnite. This is no longer the case because the Fortnite update on iOS has to be fully applied.
