Google Pixel 10 Rumors: Everything We Know

It’s hard to believe, but we’ll experience the decade of Google Pipel’s annual upgrade.

It was an uncertain experiment since a decade ago and now is Google’s annual stable and reliable smartphone lineup. According to various rumors and leaks, 2025 doesn’t seem to be any different. The Google Pixel 10 lineup may be a few months away from the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean we can’t prepare for this period.

This is what we know about the Google Pixel 10 now.

There isn’t much specific information about the Google Pixel 10 lineup, but we have enough general understanding of expectations.

Google Pixel 10 model and release date

For beginners, it’s not until around August that they want to hear any Pixel 10 calls. Back then, Google traditionally announced its annual roster.

As for how many Google Pixel 10 phones will be available in August, we can hope last year’s launch to make a prediction. In 2024, Google launched the Base Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro folded simultaneously. So far, there is no sign that Google plans to do anything different this year. Until changes happen, it may be safe to assume that this year’s lineup looks the same, except for the “10” in the name of each phone, rather than the “9”.

I should also point out that there may be a pixel 10a in the future, but if tradition is established, it will only be until 2026. The pixel 9a arrives about six months after the Pixel 9.

Google Pixel 10 specifications

Over the past few years, Google has been using its own custom tensor chipset to power pixel phones. It would be a huge surprise if anything other than the “Tensor G5” chipset except for powering the Pixel 10 family. Android Authority has a detailed technical report on the Tensor G5, but all in all, it’s important to know that this may not be a huge jump over the Tensor G4. Google doesn’t really set benchmark scores with the past few pixel phones, but the Tensor chip always offers smooth performance and good battery life, so maybe that’s OK.

Of course, the Tensor G5 will also enable a lot of quirky new AI features, but we don’t know any of them yet.

Google Pixel 10 price

Again, we’re not sure how much of these phones cost before Google told us. That said, Android’s headlines have some coverage on this, and the answer is very interesting.

According to the report, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will retain the same price as the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, or $799 and $999, respectively. Unfortunately, if you want a Pixel 10 Pro XL (usually with a larger display and battery), then obviously you have to pay $1200, up $100 from last year.

Interestingly, it sounds like the Pixel 10 Pro fold actually gets a price reduce From last year’s Pixel 9 Pro fold. The 2024 model starts at $1,799, while the phone should be $1,599 this year. Again, none of these have been confirmed and are likely to change, but for the moment, these are the prices we expect to see in August.

Google Pixel 10 Camera

Finally, cameras are clearly an important part of smartphone appeal, and Pixel phones usually perform well in this regard. It sounds like if the leak is believed, Google is making some interesting changes this year.

That said, after Google’s years of Google only put the wide and oversized lens back there, the Base Pixel 10 can get a third camera lens on the back. This is based on a rendering obtained from Android headlines earlier this year. The third telephoto lens can make the base pixel 10 in a huge competition in the zoomed photos with similar prices.

However, this may come at a price. According to Android Authority, the Pixel 10’s rear camera array is a downgrade in terms of the megapixel count of the Pixel 9. The new phone will have a 48MP wide lens and a 13MP Ultra wide lens, down from 50MP and 48MP, and is the same camera 9 on the Pixel 9, respectively. It seems that including a third telephoto lens requires some way to make these compromises.

At least, the 10 Pro and Pro XL models will appear to remain the same as the 9 Pro models. According to Android Authority, they will have the same 50MP/48MP/48MP array as last year. Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro’s folded main rear sensor is said to have risen from 48MP to 50MP, but the rest of the array is the same: the 10.5MP ultra-wide lens can be equipped with a 10.8mp telephoto lens.

A large number of new AI features

We don’t have any specific insights here, but considering that Google I/O 2025 is entirely focused on Gemini, AI in general, and the upcoming Android XR augmented reality platform, we can say with certainty that the Pixel 10 will launch with a full AI tool. This includes standard AI capabilities obtained from Google products you use, such as Gmail, Docs, and Gemini, as well as tools specifically for pixel hardware. If we have to guess, our funds will use new AI image editing and video editing tools, as this is a focus for Google lately. Same as real-time language translation.
