A mattress specifically for side sleepers is about to rise. Nolah Evolution is designed to promote stress relief, from Euro pillow tops to bagged coils in the center of the mattress.
Of the three hard levels offered, the luxury company does a great job of keeping shoulders and hips level so the lower back doesn’t tilt to a weird angle (no lower back pain right now, can it be?). When it comes to lower back support, the middle of the bed is purposefully firm, thanks to the dividing space at the top of the Euro pillow, while the firmer dividing coil at the bottom. The pillow top hugged my body, but the entire bed still maintained a noticeable firm feeling. If you’re a side sleeper that needs something softer, whether it’s hip or shoulder pain, or just what you like, the plush soft version may be better for you.
Spine alignment and boost are two excellent features of side lying people, and this is not the only area where Nolah evolves to stand out. The coil core makes it responsive, which is great because I seem to keep walking around while I sleep. It also stays relatively cool, especially when I put the cooling plate. – Julia Forbes
