No need to go through AUX anymore, as Spotify brings its JAM functionality to Android Auto and Google’s built-in cars. As revealed during Google I/O, Spotify Jam will be available through the infotainment system of any compatible car. This is a small upgrade, but the drive for Spotify Jam sessions can be manually started via a smartphone connected to the car.
Instead, Spotify jam can start on the car’s center display and will provide your passengers with a QR code to scan if you want to contribute to the playlist. Spotify revealed its JAM feature in September 2023, which is popular because it allows friends to share and discover new music smoothly. The next step in nature is to introduce it to Android Auto, as road trips and collaborative playlists pair peanut butter and jelly together.
Spotify Jam will use Android Auto and its more than 500 compatible car models over the next few months, later introduced to more than a dozen auto brands with Google’s built-in. In addition, Google plans to introduce streaming video and browser applications into its Android automatic ecosystem.
