Shane Bieber suffers potential setbacks in elbow recovery

Guardian Shane Bieber The return to majors has been under the radar late this month, but the program has been suspended. After the bullpen race between recovery this week began, Bieber felt uncomfortable in the surgically repaired elbow, Zack Meisel of track and field. He will consult with Dr. Keith Meister, who underwent surgery for right-handed Tommy John in April last year.

This is an ominous development for the guardian club that has recently lost its right-handed fellows. Ben Lively Tommy John’s surgery. Bieber, 30, started on May 31 at a rookie-level member of Cleveland in the Arizona Complex League, and his first recovery began and could hardly perform better. As the guards closely monitored his workload and lifted him after just 2 1/3 innings, he slammed five of the nine bats he faced and allowed only once along the way. Bieber held a bullpen meeting on Tuesday to prepare for the recovery from Double-A Akron when yesterday’s discomfort surfaced.

It is presumed that the guardian will provide more information about Bieber’s status in the next few days. At the same time, he can be expected to return to the major league list at least to a certain extent. Cleveland will be cautious about its long-term ace.

Bieber arrived at free agents in the past offseason but returned to guardians with a two-year 26mm contract, although the second season of the agreement was the player’s choice. He is paying 10mm in 2025, and the option comes with a 4mm acquisition. As long as he is healthy at the end of the season, it seems likely that he will reject player choices and retest free agents, but the problem of his health (or lack of health) is once again the leader.

As Bieber’s status surfaces again, it looks like Cleveland’s rotation in the foreseeable future will include rights Gavin Williams,,,,, Tanner Bibee,,,,, Luis Ortiz and Slade CecconiAnd Nanzha Logan Allen. Overall, it’s a solid group, but everyone has some level of red flags this season. Williams (13.2%), Ortiz (11.8%) and Allen (11.3%) had problems walking rates, while Bibee (1.82 hr/9) and Cecconi (2.66 hr/9) were all very mean (although in only 20 1/3 innings in Cecconi). The Cleveland starter ranked 20th in the Grand Slam with 4.07 ERA, but that included 44 2/3 innings of 3.22 ERA Ball’s 3.22 ERA Ball, the aforementioned lively, and will likely be out of the first half of the next season after UCL repairs.
