Dodgers hire Zach Reks to hit the coach for minor leagues

The Dodgers announced their minor league coaching staff this afternoon. Zach ReksThe man who played in Double-A with Padres last year was hired as a batting coach for a member of the Arizona complex of the Los Angeles.

It seems that he retired at the age of 31. Rex competed in the major leagues with the Dodgers and Rangers between 2021-22. He reached .205/.205/.227 in 22 games. The left-handed outfielder appeared in the Korean Baseball Organization in 2023 with the Lotte Giants. In 64 doubles games, he dropped to 0.127 to hit the ball.

While it was a tough end for his game, Rex is a good minor league batsman. He posted the .276/.372/.459 line when he appeared on nearly 1,800 minor league boards. These include .290/.388/.537 for 902 trips on the triple A board. MLBTR congratulated Reks on his arrival in the major leagues and wished him the best of his coaching career.
