Tyrese Haliburton shares emotional information after operation

Tyrese Haliburton started Game 7 of the NBA Finals Sunday night, determined to win the Indiana Pacers’ first ever title.

But just seven minutes into the game, Haliburton left the courtroom and was later confirmed to have been torn by Achilles.

Haliburton had surgery in New York City on Monday night to repair the torn Achilles, and has since sent a heartfelt and emotional message to fans:

“Man. I don’t know how to explain it except shock. Words cannot express the pain of this disappointment. The frustration is incredible. I’ve been working on this moment all my life, is that what it ends? It doesn’t make sense.

Now that I’ve started the surgery, I wish I could count the number of times people would tell me I’m going to be “stronger.” What a cliché, this shit sucks. My feet feel like they are tailoring weight. But I think the most hurt is my thoughts. It feels like I’m hanging out, but I know this is when I look back, I look back because I’m proud of it. It makes this shit disappear, and you all feel good to see the ugly cry of the child.

At 25, I have learned that God will never give us more than we can bear. I know I’ll come out on the other end of this better man and a better player. Honestly, now, I don’t regret it when I tore Achilles and so on. I will do it again and fight for the city and my brothers. Have a chance to do something special.

Indy, sorry. If no fan base deserves this, it’s you guys. But we will fight like hell to return to this place and overcome this obstacle. I have no doubt that you all have my support and hope you know that I have yours. I think Kobe said the best in this case. “The problems/challenges are much greater in the world. Achilles tore apart. Don’t feel sad for yourself anymore, find a glimmer of hope, and be with the same beliefs, the same motivation and the same beliefs.” That’s completely right. I will do my best to recover the original motion.

My journey to this day is not accidental, I push myself to become great every day. I will continue to do this. The most important part of all this is that I am grateful. I am grateful for every experience I have led me here. I thank all the love in Hoop. I don’t have to “have to” go through this, I can do it through this. I am grateful for the road ahead. See how I come back. So give me some time and I’ll dust myself and go back to being the best version of Tyreth Halliburton. ”
