Austin Shepard of Love Island America settles racist dispute

Love Island United States Star Austin Shepard After returning home from a Fiji villa, the air is being cleared.

Austin, 26, answered a series of fan questions in his Instagram story Friday, July 14, including one from social media users, who asked if he was a “racist paranoid.”

“I’ll just give this attention because it’s crazy,” Austin said in a video on Friday. “Are you stupid? Honestly, are you stupid? Don’t you think so?”

Austin appears to have denied the charges and used one of his tattoos as further evidence.

“I have a black woman around me,” he quipped. “Use your head.”

Austin is one of the OG Islanders of Peacock Season 7 Love Island United States. He was abandoned earlier this week with contestants Andreina Santos, TJ Palma, Gracyn Blackmore and Jaden Duggar.

According to Yulissa, a producer later asked to speak outside the camera.

“I was called in front and then ran into one of the producers who asked me to take off the microphone. I thought something serious happened,” she recalled. “I was honest, I was scared. I thought something happened to the family members. They didn’t really tell me anything. They just said the videos on the internet surfaced and didn’t look very good. I really didn’t know what videos, what I was saying or what I did.”
