A Los Angeles Police Department official was shot dead in the Expo Park area Saturday afternoon and taken to a nearby hospital.
The officers are in a stable condition.
According to LAPD officer Charles Miller, the shooting occurred around Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Martin Luther King Jr. Park near Western Avenue.
“He was hit by gunfire, in a stable condition, was taken to the hospital, and the suspect was detained,” Miller said.
Miller said the suspect was not injured.
