Conner Smith solves fatal accident, killing elderly women

Country singer Connor Smith He broke his silence after being involved in a car accident that killed an elderly woman.
Smith, 24, posted a statement on his Instagram on Friday, July 11, resulting in the death of Dorothy Dobbins, 77.
“Four weeks ago, I was involved in a tragic car accident that led to the loss of life,” Smith wrote. “No day, I did not feel sad, pray and mourn for Ms. Dobbins and her family.”
He continued: “My heart is hurt in a way I have never experienced it, and it is still difficult for me to handle the weight of it all. I ask you to continue praying to the Dobbins family by name and ask God to surround them every day.”
Smith added that he had withdrawn from the musical performance due to this tragic event.
“Out of respect for everyone involved and providing space for grief, I decided to leave the show for the past few weeks. I have always found that making music and playing performances is a place to recover for me – but at this moment, it’s important for me to take time out,” he wrote.

According to multiple media reports, the singer was issued a misdemeanor by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department on Thursday, July 10, a month after the incident.
“Conner is very grateful to MNPD for the time and effort to investigate this tragic accident carefully and continue to work together,” Smith’s attorney Worrick G. Robinson IV said in a statement to Us Weekly. “His idea remains Ms. Dobbins’ family, who remains committed to remembering his memories with compassion by supporting efforts to improve pedestrian safety and help prevent future tragedies.”
Smith was charged with a misdemeanor traffic charge in June after Dobbins was attacked by a truck he drove in Nashville.
“Preliminary investigations show that the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Conner Smith headed north on North Third Avenue and Dobbins crossed the road,” Nashville police said in a press release online. “It seems she was in an obvious crosswalk when she was attacked left and right at Dobbins, who lived nearby, and was taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.”
According to authorities, the “learning from” singers allegedly failed to bring pedestrians’ right of way to pedestrians, an initial contributor to the fatal incident.
“He showed no signs of damage,” the news continued. “As the investigation continues, there are no charges at this time.”
