These 9 projects have been enhanced – and simplified! – My long-distance trip

I just returned from a two-week trip abroad with my husband and two kids and after 26 hours on my way home, I felt like I felt full of perspective and was ready to praise the products that enhanced the journey with their usefulness and convenience. Check out some of my favorite things below.

The joy of the packer

During this year’s trip we visited two countries with different climates and planned to do a lot of driving, so I expect we would be greatly restricted when it comes to packaging space. When I suggest everyone stuff what they need into their carry-on luggage, even if I doubt we can do that. But thanks to this beautiful Amazon purchase – we made a range of available vacuum-sealables for space-saving bags! I was surprised. I’ve tried wrapping cube methods before, but this is my favorite new way to stuff a lot of stuff into a small space.

I’ve already praised this great Jones backpack in an article earlier this month. But on this trip, its spaciousness and organized pockets were so appreciated that I felt it should be mentioned again. Comfortable travel clothes

Airport clothing is definitely a thing, especially the matching suit. I wanted to take a look while traveling, but not sure how it feels like I spent all day in casual occasions.

Plus, you never know if the plane is burning or cold, so I tried to meet in the middle, opting for breathable tops and lost cargo pants, and with a sport-hooded jacket for layering. I don’t need a jacket on my first leg, but I did it on the second thing. Ultimately, I was very comfortable – and didn’t feel like traveling in my pajamas.

While planning my trip this year, I wanted a shoe that looked elevated but still comfortable, which was neutral enough to have almost nothing. Finally, we all know that sleeping on a plane as an adult is nearly impossible, especially if you are the middle seat pillows of two stretching kids. But this neck pillow has a lot of positive reviews online, so I think I’ll give it a try. Spoiler Alert: I didn’t sleep like a baby, but it was really worth yelling, at least to stop my head from waving aimlessly for hours. I will do everything possible to win!
