Seattle Times reported
The Seattle Times reported on Tuesday (Reuters) – Boeing started production of its latest cargo airline 777-8.
The aircraft’s revenue payload of 112.3 tons was first announced at the White House in 2022.
Boeing later said Qatar Airways would be the first customer, ordering 34 jets and 16 more vending planes for a total purchase price of $20 billion.
The report said that although Boeing initially said they expected delivery of its first aircraft by 2027, the timeline has been delayed by one year.
According to Boeing’s website, the 777-8 cargo ship has the lowest operating cost and the highest fuel efficiency, with the lowest CO2 emissions in the 777-times aircraft family.
Boeing did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
