Liv Golf shakes team event format with fun wrinkles

There is a lot to say about LIV golf, but it’s certain that another golf league is not afraid of change, and this is another proven this month.
Just a few days ago, Jon Rahm mentioned that the format changed from earlier than 2025, which benefited more than his team. Well, Rahm’s leading Legion 13 team will now have to make new adjustments to the team championships – which of course won’t benefit them.
The team championship game has seen the first round goodbye over the past few years, and this year’s finale (taken outside Detroit) will bring all 12 teams to the game. No rest days. Throughout the regular season, the captains of top teams will pick their opponents as they did in previous iterations. But more information will be obtained this time.
Part of the new game selection process allows the captain of the high-seed team to view the specific lineups that the small-seed team will be going before choosing an opponent. For example, if Ram himself feels like Mickelson to fill two singles games and a four-man (replace shot) games, Ram can choose his team to face Phil Mickelson’s hyflyers.
Is this important? Probably not. But how will we play when Liv attends a team event in two weeks.
Now with the odd team, Liv will be ranked 12th and 13th in the game to advance to the first day of the game. The six teams that won in these first rounds will advance to the semifinals, where they will compete in another team match to advance to three teams and the final round of gunfight.
The final round is to return to the stroke game, where all four points are calculated for the team’s total. The team champion total wallet was $50 million, and the winning team received $14 million ($3.5 million each).
