USGA’s deal expansion with NBCuniversal by 2032

USGA insists on using NBC for the U.S. Open in a deal announced Tuesday with NBCuniversal, which will last until 2032 and will be covered in additional prime time in major tournaments on weekdays.
NBC’s partnership with USGA dates back to 1995, except that Fox Sports took over in 2015 on a 12-year contract, which lasted for five years until it returned to NBC.
NBC will be the exclusive broadcast of three USGA professional events – the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Senior Open. Peacock will play all USGA programming on NBC and exclusively cover both the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open.
The new deal will include 48 hours of U.S. Open coverage – 25 hours on NBC and 33 hours on the West Coast. On the weekend, the U.S. Women’s Open will have 27 hours and 7 hours on NBC. The U.S. Senior Open will have 18 hours and six hours on NBC.
Versant will receive media rights to USGA Championships from a new media company developed by Comcast Corp. from 2032.
