Boban Marjanovic has been approaching close at Luka Doncic for years, and former teammates believe the Lakers star is ready for his best NBA season. One that can end with an MVP trophy.
“Luca is the best,” Marjanovic told Yahoo! Sports. “Luca is like a hardworking guy. He’s always in the gym, he’s always trying. That’s what he wants to do. He wants to do the best, he’s really the best, just like all these moves he’s doing now, he’s doing all these moves. All his moves on it can be like he’s doing the same thing, and he’s able to do it like he does, and he’s able to do it better in the video, and he’s able to play basketball in a game, it’s an action he can get. Doncic’s slimmer, stronger frame has been a major conversation point in the offseason, expecting improved conditioning will help him stay on the court and improve his game.
“I know his mental strength, the way he works, and how he basically plays for the national team and every summer, even if he’s tired, he’ll have a full season in the NBA, and he’s still on the national team and playing for his country,” Marjanovic said. “What makes him like, yes, you know, you’re never tired, you work hard, everything he does, he works because of basketball.”
“I know how much hard he has worked this summer and all the years he’s been known to each other over the years, and I have a lot of respect for him,” Marjanovic added.
