The public was told to stay inside, and major police operations were carried out in Mannheim, Germany

Police in Mannheim, a western German city, asked the public to stay away from the city and stay at home.
Police will not disclose what prompted the massive existence of law enforcement in the city center.
Several people were lying on the ground after several cars were found suspected of driving into the crowd, and two were apparently recovering, a witness told Reuters on Monday.
Mannheim has a population of about 326,000 and is located about 85 kilometers south of Frankfurt.
Police spokesman Stefan Wilhelm told N-TV that it was an “event” that occurred around 12:15 pm, triggering a large police deployment in the Paladipulz area in the heart of Mannheim. He said he could not provide details.
Authorities alerted the Katwarn app, which told people in Mannheim that the city’s downtown area was avoided due to the massive deployment of police deployments.
Officials used Katwarn to convey information about major emergencies such as thunderstorms, radical attacks or fires.
And more.
