PORTLAND, Oregon – Japan’s Akie Iwai took a two-stroke lead in the standard Portland Classic with a score of under 64 on Saturday.
Iwai, who was second in Thailand in February and second in Thailand in Los Angeles in April, tried to join twin sister Chisato this year to become the LPGA Tour champion.
She held a batting exhibition on most calm conditions on the tree-shaded court on Saturday, hitting 5 woods 200 yards to 3 feet to build the eagle and hitting the foot twice, one of Birdie’s feet, the last of the 4th 18, reaching 18 under 198.
“My style, my golf style is aggressive,” she said. “That’s why there’s no change this week. Also, aiming at the pins – boom! boom! every shot, every hole. That’s it.”
Australia’s Grace Kim is second after 67. She hit a 156-yard shot for the Hawks on the 4th par 17.
“I tried to see if I could fall,” King said. “I didn’t exactly wear the box of the sprinkler, so you know I just had to hit it. Leak again. I was like, ‘Oh, please browse the rough.” Somehow got into the hole, so I guess there was a little luck there. ”
Linn Grant is only 14 after he is 65. The Swedes won the 2023 Dana Open with its only LPGA Tour champion.
“Trying to go out, just, I don’t say happy, but just accept everything that comes with today,” Grant said. “I think I’m having a very mature time and just having a very good time.”
Gurleen Kaur has a 70-shot into the under-13, and Aditi Ashok (65) is back with Gina Kim (67).

Haeran Ryu is ranked 9th in the world, one of only two top ten players in the field and is also 11 years old. She has a hole at 67 yards in 177 yards.
Akie Iwai dropped a stroke on the third post and then hit five holes below 5. She hits the second shot to 3 feet to build the Eagle and then hits a foot on the sixth of the sixth.
On the back nine, she birded three of the first four holes, two of which were 5, and then hit a 152-yard shot on 18.
Two-time champion Brooke Henderson once again started 65 games, reaching 10 with a 68-point second round. The Canadian star has not won since January 2023.
The second round leader Jeongeun Lee5 is also under the age of 10. She shot 74.
Amateur Kiara Romero is only 8 years old after she is 72 years old. The University of Oregon star won the 2023 American Girls and the Top 10 Championships in 2025.
The competition is the longest consecutive event on the LPGA Tour, except for the 1972 Grand Slam.
