Nautilus is a streaming success, proving a terrible fact

By Drew Dietsch | publishing

Nautilus It’s a performance that fascinates me. Not because of anything in the actual performance, because I didn’t watch it. Instead, I was fascinated by the show’s presumptive response (and its production history (we’ll talk about)) because it seems like a secret success. The premiere series has been the biggest audience for AMC premiere since last year The Walking Dead: The Living. According to the streaming rankings, the show performed well on AMC+ last month.

So why does it feel like Nautilus Isn’t it actually an existing show? Why does this huge work obviously resonate with the audience, which seems to be nothing in the pop culture landscape at all?

Nautilus Infused by Disney

Nautilus It was supposed to appear on Disney+. The House of Mouse made the show, but after the production was finished, it was distributed directly on its platform. Instead, they sell it to different entities based on the assigned location. For example, the UK performed Prime Video in the US AMC and its streaming service AMC+ premiered in the US eight months ago.

The goal to be a potential flagship series for Disney+ was eventually sold to the highest bidder. However, this does not seem to slow down interest in potential audiences. The show did a good job on streaming and even stood out a week ago.

So we go back to my original question: Why no one has actually seen it Nautilus?

Flow barrier

With streaming services ubiquitous in our consumer culture, performance is much thicker than it used to be. The number of TV shows produced and promoted by their respective studios is totally crazy. There are so many sounds when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Not to mention brand loyalty becomes a problem. If you get Netflix or HBO Max or Paramount+ (Blech) and enjoy it, there is no huge motivation to pay for another streaming service.

So, why do you have to do your best to watch such shows Nautlius? Even if it gets a good reputation praise, are you really going to sign up for AMC+ just to watch a show? I know there is a streaming culture where people register for services and cancel it immediately for a month of access. Maybe people are doing this? I would love to hear such recommendations.

even so Nautilus Good performance on streaming, but not showing a real ripple effect in the larger pop culture discussions, which tells me that the streaming barrier is still a harder obstacle to getting interesting shows. If the performance likes Nautilus There are audiences, and it won’t translate into the “water cooler” culture of entertainment discussion. It might be liked, but certainly no one is talking about it. Hopefully, even this piece will make someone check the show. In an age of endless content, curation is more important than ever. Let’s hope the performance is like Nautilus Have loving curators to make sure they don’t disappear completely.
