The California Dog Leader Representative disappeared owner. Now the poncho is missing
With the help of her furry friend, an 85-year-old woman was found missing in rural California.
Now, authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating Poncho, her faithful canine companion, who has been missing for several days.
Barbara Dee Crosby disappeared from Skyline Place, a premium residence in Sonora, California, about 10 a.m. Saturday. According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies believed Crosby, who had dementia, left home with her tan chihuahua mixture Poncho.
The department issued an alarm for missing persons and described the clothes Crosby and she had last seen. Posts on Instagram.

A search and rescue team led by the sheriff’s office along with local residents, the California Highway Patrol mission was to relocate her.
Crosby was found near East Bald Mountain Road on Sunday, a long walk from the premium residence home.
Authorities said the rescue team planned to conduct a search operation on Monday for Monday’s search operation, when sightings of rainponks were reportedly found around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Rescuers climbed down a 70-foot embankment to search the area. The group found ponchos under a ball of brushes and found Crosby asleep on the nearby ground.

“We express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports all the efforts to locate Barbara. … Your support has played a vital role in bringing home safety,” the Sheriff’s Office said in an Instagram post. “Special thanks to Poncho, whose loyalty and presence near Barbara’s location have left us in trouble – this is truly the unsung hero of this rescue.”
Crosby was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The sheriff’s office said in an article that the poncho ran out: “In the area he can be secured safely and may still be in.”
