Maple Leaf Sign Goalkeeper Dennis Hilderby

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed goalkeeper Dennis Hildeby for a three-year contract. The deal is a two-way contract for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons, followed by a one-way contract for 2027-28, with an average annual interest rate of $841,667.

Hildeby, 24, played 30 regular season games with Toronto Maris (AHL) in the 2024-25 season and scored a 16-9-4 record with 2.55 goals, a savings percentage of .908 and two closing ceremonies. He also played in a Calder Cup playoff with Marlies. Hildeby started six games in the 2024-25 Maple Leafs, issuing a 3-3-0 record with a goal average of 3.33 and a savings percentage of .878.

In 73 professional regular season AHL vs. MARLIE, Järfälla, the Swedish native, had a combined record of 37-21-11, with an average of 2.53 goals, a savings of 0.909 and 6 eliminations. Hildeby scored 1-3 in five Pro Card Cup playoffs, while averaging 3.25 goals and 0.895 percent savings. Hildeby was selected to represent Toronto with the Northern Division in the 2024 and 2025 AHL All-Star Classics.

The 6’7″ 224-pound goalkeeper was originally selected by Toronto in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Draft (122nd Edition).
