Cheerleader Laken Snelling dresses up as a pregnant woman for Halloween 2024

Pre-competitive cheerleaders at the University of Kentucky Lake Snelling Dressed up as a mother-to-be in less than a year after allegedly giving birth to a baby and hiding it in the closet.
Snelling, 21, wore a “Kentucky Mom” pin and used a fake baby bump touch outfit last year, captured by Tiktoker Abby Blabby and watched US Weekly In a freely deleted video posted by the University of Kentucky stunt team.
In the video, Snelling is asked if she would rather “spend the night in a haunted house or a creepy cemetery?”
“Hazed house,” Snelling said with a smile, jogging with her artificial baby in her arms.
Snelling was arrested on August 30 at her home in Lexington, Kentucky and charged with abuse of the body, tampering with physical evidence and covering up the birth of the baby.
Authorities were initially called to the scene on August 27 after receiving a call about the unresponsive baby.
According to the citation for the arrest, Snelling “accepted giving birth” and “covered the birth by cleaning any evidence, putting all cleaning items in black garbage bags, including babies, who were wrapped in towels.”
Snelling pleaded not guilty to all charges in a Sept. 2 appearance in Lexington Firmtroom.

A Lexington Police Department spokesman told Us Weekly on Monday, Sept. 9 that the death investigation is still “ongoing.”
According to a report from the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, which we obtained Thursday, September 4, the cause of the baby’s death is inconclusive.
Snelling competed in the final three seasons of the University of Kentucky stunt team.
According to the American Cheers, the stunt “remove the crowd-leading elements and focus on the technical and athletic components of cheering, including companion stunts, pyramids, basket throws, group jumps and rolls. These elements are all put together in a short routine, and both teams have to head to head on the floor at the same time.”
A spokesperson for the University of Kentucky told us on Friday, September 5 that Snelling is no longer a student at the school, and no longer a member of the stunt team.
In a video shared on YouTube in April, Snelling can be seen participating in the 2025 stunt national championship, just months before she allegedly gave birth.
Snelling’s preliminary court hearing is scheduled for September 26.
