Stacy Lewis, a two-time champion and former world No. 1, said Wednesday that it would be her final season on the LPGA Tour.
The 40-year-old American announced the news as part of a lengthy social media post that read: “My body has told me.
“In a million years, I never thought this time golfing will continue to move forward in 2025, but it’s time to drive the club away.”

Lewis has accomplished a lot in the course.
After a remarkable career at the University of Arkansas, she played in the LPGA Tour in 2009 and went on to win 13 games. These include the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2013 British Women’s Open.
Lewis, who won the LPGA Tour Player of the Year twice (2012, ’14), ranked 14th on the professional money-making list, earning over $14 million in 374 games.
She is a member of a player’s four Solheim Cup teams, then the captain who beat Europe in September 2024.
“I take care of the LPGA Tour like my own kids, and I am proud of the progress we have made, but for my companions, we are not done yet!” she wrote. “I hope everyone keep moving forward to the tour and do everything possible to help in the course!”
