Tortured Northern California jewelry store turns to safety gadgets to help robbers

A Northern California jewelry store has been robbed twice since 2023 and has turned to innovative ways to stop, deter and ultimately capture a series of armed bandits.
According to the San Ramon Police Department, 20 to 25 masked suspects rushed into the Heller Jeweler in San Ramon around 1:50 p.m. Monday and began to smash the display case.
Surveillance footage obtained by ABC News showed the suspect using a crowbar to break the glass and stole about $1 million in loot, while others entered the store with a pistol.
However, before the suspect exited, the store’s security measures were activated and the store’s doors closed, temporarily trapping the mob.
