San Francisco Street Ambassador was killed while trying to stop drug users

A San Francisco Street ambassador aims to help those who are fighting homeless and drug abusers be shot and killed by those he is trying to guide in the other direction.
Friends and colleagues of 60-year-old Urban Alchemy employee Joey Alexander said he was shot and succumbed to his wound on Tuesday.
San Francisco police say shooting Occurred at 4:51 pm Opposite the town hall, near the city’s main public library branch.

The nonprofits employ former criminals and homeless people with the goal of using these experiences to provide services and assistance to those in the most need.

According to the man’s report San Francisco Chronicles. Alexander had an amputated leg and underwent three surgeries, but died Tuesday.
Police determined and arrested Edmund Bowen, 42, on the day of the shooting. He was scheduled to be released without bail on suspicion of murder and is awaiting his next court date at the San Francisco County Jail.
“I’m still dealing with it,” Alexander’s colleague Ronald Carter told San Francisco TV. “My heart is hurting now because that’s my brother. We’ve been through thick and thin together…I can’t wait for his family to see this – let him know we have his back.”
According to the Chronicle, Alexander was imprisoned for 23 years on unknown charges. He has been free for three years and lives in Auckland.
