days of our lives Kate Green (Annalyn McCord) plays EJ DiMera (Dan Ferrigal), the world’s best assistant. But soon, more may be happening between the two companies. We might see Cat and EJ cross the line and get involved on a personal level.
With Cat moonlighting as an ISA agent for Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), I wonder if Cat will try to lure EJ in a honeypot situation to get the information they need, or maybe Cat becomes interested in EJ.
Days of Our Lives: From heartbreak to espionage
First, let’s start with cats. Most recently, she was heartbroken when Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) decided to break up with her. He basically convinced Kate that they could be together and that he really liked her. Then they had sex, and boom, Chad dumped her. Of course, that’s just because his son Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) is angry that his father dated Kate while she pretended to be his dead mother Abigail Devereux (Annalyn McCord).
All was well until rotten little Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) revealed the truth to Thomas. Although she was truly devastated that Chad abandoned her, Kate understood that Chad had to do what was best for Thomas. The kids come first. The kid takes it too far though, demanding that Chad run Kate out of town and threatening to run away if Chad doesn’t. What the child is going through now is understandable.
The way he goes to extremes isn’t cool, but that’s because he has someone else in his ear. So, we leave cats sad, abandoned, and lonely. By the way, EJ was also abandoned and lonely, but he was trying not to look sad. Plus, Cat just told EJ that Chad broke up with her. So, maybe EJ is seeing Cat in a new light now. Or EJ may have ulterior motives involving his brother Chad.
Days of Our Lives: DiMera’s motivations
We all saw Cat and Chad’s breakup coming. Considering how much Julie Williams (Susan Seavers Hayes), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), and Jennifer Horton (Kadie McClain) despise Kate, we know the couple will not live happily ever after. So unless she finds some way to redeem herself in the eyes of the Hortons and Devereaux, she’ll never do it.
As of right now, I don’t think things will change with Chad and Kate because Thomas knows that Chad lied to him about his relationship with Kate. As far as Thomas is concerned, Kate needs to go and Rachel will make Thomas excited about it because she’s a bad influence on her cousin. So for now, Chad may just want to devote himself to being a dad and running the Salem Observer.
As for Carter, she’s diving into EJ work while working undercover for the ISA and coordinating with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerin). But let’s face it, she’s in close contact with handsome EJ every day now. He is very charming. He is very healthy. Have an accent. Cats must pay attention. We know EJ has noticed how pretty Cat is. That’s why when EJ wakes up from his coma after Rachel shoots him, he bids on her as his auction item.
Heartbroken cat on DOOL
Now Kate’s heart is broken and I doubt she’s ready to date. But if EJ invites her out, Cat might say yes and try to get more information about the ISA from EJ. They want to know who helped him buy the hospital and what he planned to do with the secret laboratory that Carter now knew he was building. EJ and Cat already have chemistry. You can see it. We all know how much EJ DiMera loves blondes.
Among them are Nicole Walker (Aryan Zucker), Belle Black (Martha Madison), and of course, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Maybe he’ll add cats to his collection of blondes. Plus, EJ loves to annoy his siblings, and he knows Chad really likes Kate. So EJ might find out that his naughty, murderous niece Rachel is the one who spewed nonsense and made Thomas demand that Chad break up with Kate. If so, EJ may romance Cat to try to make Chad understand that he can’t let his child Thomas control his love life.
I mean, both EJ and Chad watched Rachel ruin several relationships with her father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Pretty much anyone but her mom. So, I could also see EJ trying to make Chad jealous, either to give him a wake-up call, or EJ could just be trying to annoy his brother for fun. You know how those DiMeras treat each other.
Days of Our Lives: Behind the Scenes spoilers
I have mentioned many times that when days of our lives They shot the 60th anniversary blockbuster, which was for the anniversary episode that’s coming out in November, so just in a couple of weeks. When they take photos, they pair people up or pair them up by storyline.
So what really caught my attention, I think I saw it on Dan Feuerriegel’s Insta stories on social media. I think that’s where I took the photo, but they had Cat pose with Chad and EJ for the photo. Cat and Chad, Cat and EJ, and Cat, Chad and EJ. So that kind of hints at a love triangle or something more than what we’ve seen so far. Obviously, we know Cat and Chad will continue to be in each other’s orbit, and EJ will be in the mix.
Days of Our Lives: Romance or Spy?
While Cat is dedicated to law and order, EJ is criminally inclined and morally ambiguous. I do think cats would be interested in him. How could you not? Correct. The big question is whether feelings are involved. EJ may want to date Cat just to annoy Chad, or he may think that someone with a shady past like Cat will be more aware of his own shady past and his possible future criminal activities.
The question then becomes whether Cat will play with EJ’s feelings, or at least his sexual desires, in an attempt to get the information Shane wants about the hospital, as well as whatever dodgy things EJ is doing downstairs in the lab. So even if Cat tries to unearth his deepest dark secrets, EJ might be too smart to fall for it. Or he might be pretending to be fooled so he can try to get Kate into bed while making her think she’s playing him. Don’t forget, we also have Kate befriending Gwen Rizchic (Emily O’Brien), the secret investor in this dodgy hospital deal. So, we’ll have to wait and see if she encourages Cat and EJ to date. Or maybe Gwen is aware of the fact that Kate is snooping and spying and warns EJ not to be wary of her.
Gwen catching cats on DOOL?
That being said, I doubt Gwen can understand what Kate is doing. She’s not the most observant of British beauties. I mean, Leo Stark (Greg Rikart) had sex with Gwen’s husband almost right under her nose, and she didn’t notice what Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porter) and Leo were doing until she caught them red-handed. So we’ll have to wait and see if Rafe or Shane encourages Cat to use her beauty and femininity to succeed on EJ. So, it does look like we have a Cat and EJ movie coming, but the question is, is it romance or conspiracy?
