He’s about to go to jail after a violent incident at a Southern California hair salon

A man pleaded guilty to assault after losing his temper at a Southern California hair salon that included knocking over shelves, throwing shampoo bottles and yelling at employees, all of which was caught on video.
He will serve six years in prison.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, on Jan. 29, 28-year-old August Marriott entered the Great Clips on Mission Gorge Road in Santee around 7 p.m. Marriott became agitated when he was told he was late for an appointment. He then vandalized the store, the Sheriff’s Department said, citing cellphone footage.
Video posted on social media showed Marriott overturning a shelf containing hair care products and throwing them towards the back of the salon while yelling obscenities at staff.
“What’s going on?” he asked the woman who shot the video.
Authorities said the attack left an employee with minor injuries and Marriott fled the scene before deputies arrived. He was arrested by officers from the Santee Sheriff’s Station in Chula Vista on February 4 and was booked into the San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and a parole violation.
Marriott pleaded guilty to assault on Oct. 10, admitting in his plea to a previous conviction for striking, according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 18.
