Why your ball might go into “right field.” and solutions for top 100 coaches

After Cameron McCormick made his follow-up move, he threw the iron back in front of him and let it slip from his fingers until the club head touched his hand. He looked content.

His advice worked.

He didn’t cut the banana.

The GOLF Top 100 coach talked about the reasons behind golf’s unpopularity and solutions in a recent video posted on his Instagram account. The video can be found below, along with some additional thoughts.

According to Cameron McCormick, what’s the reason behind slicing?

You rotate your hips, throwing your arms and club too far behind you, he said.

What happens then?

The ball flew “to right field,” as McCormick put it. Or left field, for lefties.

Is there any solution to this problem?

There are several parts to that, said McCormick, who is also Jordan Spieth’s longtime coach.

– Maintain a normal posture.

– Lift your back toes off the ground

– Turn your back foot 45 degrees to the right (if you are right-handed).

– As you prepare to hit the ball, lower your toes back to the ground.

“It’s going to help you get your arms and club back in front of your body and fix that,” McCormick said in the video.

Has the author tried the exercise?

He did it.

It takes a minute to get used to it. It feels a little weird, as you naturally focus more on your right foot than your swing at first. But it facilitated the initiatives McCormick noted. It feels very smooth too.
