Which Tell Me Lies stars will be returning and which ones won’t be returning for Season 3?

Hulu’s popular series tell me lies Returning after that shocking cliffhanger – but which stars are or aren’t reprising their roles?

based on Carola Loughlinnovel of the same name, tell me lies About the messy relationship between college students Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White). Their on-and-off troubled love lasted eight years – and everyone around them was affected by Lucy and Stephen’s ups and downs.

Season 1, premiering in 2022, took a lot from Loughlin’s book, but the finale flipped the script, prolonging the toxicity between Lucy and Stephen so that the show could continue for more episodes.

Season 2 ups the stakes after Lucy and Stephen’s first breakup, showing the pair’s reconciliation of relationships with others in their past and present timelines.

Drama escalates when Lucy and Stephen get back together at college, and Stephen later discovers that she previously dated his friend Evan (Brandon Cook). He seemed to be taking the news just fine, until “Tell Me Lies” jumped to the present day during Evan’s marriage to Lucy’s friend Bree (cat missal). No one can find Stephen because Kate receives a voice message from Evan admitting that he and Lucy were unfaithful to her.

Season three is expected to pick up right after Cat discovers Lucy’s betrayal. It remains to be seen whether Lucy will permanently cut ties with Stephen in the current timeline.

Grace Van Patten

During an exclusive interview US Weekly After filming wrapped, Van Patten shared in September 2025: “I can’t say too much, but fans are in for a wild ride this season! I think it’s the most chaotic season yet and really feels like the culmination of the worst decisions all these characters have made. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on.”

Jackson White

White’s Stephen returns for season three – and he’s as self-destructive as ever.

Catherine Missier

When we last saw Bree, she discovered a huge secret that is expected to have repercussions throughout season three.

“Kind of juicy, isn’t it?” Missal told us in October 2024. “I’ll let people have their theories and we’ll see how it turns out. It’s really exciting not knowing what happened and being surprised by what happened.”

Sonia Mena

Pippa’s return in series three will focus on her romance with Diana.

Speaking of Diana and Pippa, the two have different opinions on the fictional couple’s longevity.

“Man, I hope so. That would be cool. I think they both deserve it,” Crowder exclusively told Us in October 2024. “Because of external factors, but also because of this group of guys, they’ve been through so much. I really hope so, and it looks like they’re in a good place. Obviously no relationship is perfect and we’re working through some issues.”

However, Mena isn’t sure based on other Tell Me Lies couples, adding, “But no one is happy about the show.”

Brandon Cook

If Evan isn’t in Season 3, he won’t have answers for the secrets he’s hiding from Bree.

In a Season 2 flashback, the actor teased Wrigley’s storyline, revealing that he was unintentionally responsible for his brother’s death.

“Now we have completed the spiral [with him]I would like to see some kind of path in a positive direction. We know how it ends,” House told Us in October 2024, when the show’s current schedule didn’t allow for much development for Wrigley. “He has an understanding of everything that’s going on. It’s up to the writer, but I wanted to do something different than the other spiral. I love doing it, but I want to see hope. “

He added: “Maybe in the 2015 storyline you’ll see if he gets better. But we haven’t had a lot of time there, so I don’t know how they’re going to do that. I’ll do my job as always and we’ll see how things go.”

Doherty’s Leo appears to have been on the show for one season. However, the actor hasn’t ruled out a return, telling Us in December 2024, “Maybe Leo isn’t who he seems. He’s got a lot on his plate.”

He continued: “I’m actually not too surprised by the fan response to my character. After the first season, Leo filled the void. It makes sense. What really surprised me was the outpouring of all the love. It was really a little overwhelming at times.”
