Christopher Eubanks announced his retirement in a post on Instagram on Monday.
“If you told this little boy from south Atlanta that he would accomplish what he did, he wouldn’t believe you,” Eubanks wrote on social media. “Two-time ACC winner Player of the Year? No chance at Wimbledon. I have the opportunity to travel the world and make incredible connections while living my lifelong dream. It’s hard to say for sure, but if it is, hooray!”
Eubanks made his tour debut in 2015 at the ATP 250 event in his birthplace of Atlanta. Two years later, the 29-year-old scored his first Tour-level victory in the same city, setting up a major breakthrough in 2023.
That season, Eubanks reached the quarter-finals at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami, captured his only ATP Tour title on the grass courts of Mallorca, and then reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon. After the match in London, the American climbed to a career-high No. 29 in the PIF ATP Rankings.
