Bell and EJ’s romance breaks on Days of Our Lives
Okay, so we all watched Bella fall in love with her sister Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) ex-husband EJ. I really like their vibe as a couple. If you remember a few years ago, Belle and EJ were rolling in the hay and there was something there. There were some sparks, but then the old writers and production team ended it abruptly.
Coinciding with mass firings of a group of women, Martha Madison quits sky, Belle and EJ’s affair ended so suddenly. But now, Belle is back and she and EJ have another chance at love, but they both fall badly. I mean, when EJ was shot and put into a coma, Bella finally admitted that she loved him. But then, of course, as he does, EJ ruined everything.

When Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is accused of shooting his father, he is testifying in court and his lawyer EJ forces Johnny to admit that Belle is dating him. EJ tried to get the judge to declare a mistrial due to a conflict of interest. Now, in EJ’s defense, he’s desperate to save Johnny, but his performance in court could destroy Bell’s career.
However, the judge was shrewd and she saw through EJ’s tactics, causing Belle and EJ to break up publicly. Now, Bella has made it clear that her relationship with EJ is over, not just for now, but forever. Bella wants EJ to keep as much distance from her as possible.
We all know Bella and Sami aren’t the best of friends. They’re not the best sisters. But Belle does think Sami is right, telling Belle that she’s glad she figured out what EJ was about before things got more serious between them. Sami is happy that Belle found out that EJ isn’t the one for her, but Sami might be a little jealous.
A second chance for Bella and Sean Brady on Days of Our Lives?
But what now? So Belle still doesn’t have a date. We see Sami happily leaving town and getting engaged to her new boyfriend, Dante Vitali. I do wonder if we’ll get to meet Dante as a person. However, there’s the perfect guy for Belle waiting to ask her out on a date. They just need to find each other. Now we just saw Sean-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) finally return to Salem.
He was traveling in Europe at the time. We see him comforting Belle, who is very upset about the deteriorating health of her mother, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Sarah Horton (Lindsey Godfrey) seems to have had a breakthrough and thinks it might be Lyme disease. So bottom line, the first man we considered for Belle was her handsome ex-husband Sean. He doesn’t come back to the scene for no reason.
Fans hope for the day when Shell reunites
There are also tons of “Shell” shippers hoping star-crossed lovers Belle and Sean will eventually get back to each other. We’ve seen some tender moments between Bella and Sean, but none since last summer. Their relationship grows closer as Sean prays for a miraculous healing for his father, Beau Brady (Peter Recker). Beau Brady was in the midst of a life-or-death health crisis, dying of sepsis while in a coma.
Meanwhile, Belle had to say goodbye to her father, John Black (Drake Hogestyn), after he was fatally injured in a drug lab explosion while he was obtaining drugs to save Beau’s life. So it’s all bittersweet the days we live in. They are very supportive of each other. Neither Sean nor Belle have any other romantic partners at the moment. So maybe they’re destined to be partners again.
Dating Apps in Salem: A Surprising Match with Chad DiMera on DOOL?
And, she just told Sean she was looking for romance and even signed up for a local dating app. We have seen a lot of singles using this app. In fact, Leo Stark (Greg Ricard) only spiced up Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) profile on a dating app because Leo said the profile he set up was too boring. After he changed Chad’s profile, guess what?
Belle is surprised to find that she and Chad are a perfect match. I mean, at least it would be something new. So, I could see him proposing to Belle since Jennifer Horton (Kadie McClain) is in a custody battle with Chad and Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) is so angry at his dad that he ran into traffic. You know, Chad might ask Belle out on a date to show the Hortons that he’s really getting over Kate Green (Annalyn McCord) and that he won’t be dating her.
Jeremy Horton: The bad boy who disguised himself as Belle on Days of Our Lives?
Plus, on the dating app, we see fifth-grade teacher Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan), who just returned to Salem. He’s handsome, but he may or may not be redeemed. I personally think he was framed for the near-stabbing of Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and the drunken drug shenanigans that just happened, but I could be wrong. Maybe Jeremy still sucks. Even so, he could still set up a match with Belle, and the cute lawyer might agree to have dinner with Jeremy.
He was previously hooked up with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), but things blew up when Jeremy revealed that he once dated Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Of course, Jada has now moved on to Theo, who is also on the dating app. Now, we all know that Bella seems to have a thing for bad boys, as she recently did with EJ. So, Jeremy might be perfect because on the surface, he doesn’t look bad. Not now. He was a school teacher and, you know, he was surrounded by kids. He’s hot and he’s fun to watch, but he’s probably a bad boy in cinnamon roll clothing at heart. So, Belle might want to give it a try.
More Potential Romance: Dr. Mark Green and Rafe Hernandez on ‘Days of Our Lives’
Another single man in Salem is Dr. Mark Green (Jonah Robinson). He had just gotten out of Statesville jail after trying to shoot Chad. We all know that Mark is being blackmailed by Clyde Weston (James Reed), who is holding Mark and Kate’s mother hostage and threatening to kill her. I’d say it’s a little weird that Belle is dating a recent parolee since Mark just got out of prison. But again, Bella may enjoy a walk on the wild side. Mark is handsome, but he works for EJ and with Dr. William Rolfe (Richard Wharton), so that might be a deal-breaker.
Another single and sexy hunk is Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerin). So maybe he’ll get on that dating app too and be matched with a female prosecutor. I could see sparks flying between Bella and Rafe, if for no other reason than the fact that he’s another of her sister Sami’s exes would make things confusing. But remember, Bella was also turned off when Rafe’s doppelgänger, Arnold Feniger (also played by Galen Gering), tried to kiss her. So it might make her uncomfortable. Even though this version of Rafe is real and Arnold is gone, it’s still probably a bit of PTSD for her.
Flames of the Past and New Single: Philip and Xander’s Remix on DOOL
Of course, we’re also introduced to Bella’s recent romance with Philippe Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier). They were married before. They were on and off before, but now he’s with Gabby Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez). Our trusted leaker tells us that Phillip and Gabby are going to fall in love with each other. So, I suspect he and Belle are together.
We have to mention someone who is newly single this week. That’s Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). We know Sarah will always be his one true love, but now things are messy between them. Xander had just signed the divorce papers, and so had Sarah.
Therefore, once these documents are sent to court, their marriage will officially be over. But to me, Bale and Sander just don’t seem like a good fit. Also, I expect Xander to return with soulmate Sarah in the next few months, and Belle to return with the others. Maybe it’s Jeremy, but I think we’d all rather see Belle and Sean together.
